Brenda Sue Marks, 62, of Marion

Brenda Sue Marks, 62, of Marion, died peacefully in the care of her family and Hospice on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at her home in Marion.

Brenda was born on February 9, 1948 to the late Mark and Wilda I. (Saunders) Aldridge in Ironton, Ohio.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Rex W. Marks of Marion; children, Derek L. (Kim) Marks of Marion, Christy L. (Terry) Jordan of Marion; brother, Steve (Debbie) Aldridge of Marion; sisters, Connie (John) Byrd, Kathy (Jim) Martin and Ronda Kay (Brian) Schaadt all of Marion; grandchildren, Sarah Kristine Jordan, Emily Sue Jordan and Brittany Lynn Marks; many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and numerous brother and sister-in-laws.  She will be missed by her constant companion and loving dog, Graham.

Brenda was preceded in death by an infant sister, Nena DaVonne.

Brenda graduated from Marion Technical College as a Para Legal working for various Marion Attorneys.  She also was active in her church as a Sunday School Teacher and a Youth Leader for many years.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening and cross word puzzles.  "The Love of her family was her past time."

Friends may call from 4 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Open Bible Enterprise Baptist Church, Bellefontaine Ave.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in the church with Rev. Cory Carroll and Rev. Delmar Ray Marks Jr.  Musical selections by Deanna Cellars, Rev. Delmar Ray Marks Jr., Kenneth and Michelle Marks.  Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery.
