Marion Palace Theatre Hosting a Variety of Holiday Entertainment

Micky’s Monkees ChristmasThe Palace Cultural Arts Association will present several entertainment options during the holiday season. Kicking off the celebrations will be a Palace production of “Christmas at the Palace” on November 30, December 1 and December 2.  Columbus Children’s Theatre will perform “Mr. Scrooge” on December 8 and “The Bob Hope Holiday Road Show” will take the Palace stage on December 9.  Micky Dolenz will wrap up the entertaining holiday events on December 15 with “Micky’s Monkees Christmas.”

A Palace Production Christmas at the Palace — Friday, November 30 & Saturday, December 1 at 7:30pm, Sunday, December 2 at 2pm– This annual production will include more than 300 community members in choirs, dance numbers, instrumental ensembles and light-hearted, yet touching, scenes of the season. CHRISTMAS AT THE PALACE is a favorite holiday tradition for many families. This year’s theme is Across the USA and Home Again. Directed by Clare Cooke. Sponsored by Ohio Mutual Insurance Company, Marion Community Credit Union, Real Living Generations Realty and Marion Community Foundation Mary H. Hollaway Fund.  Tickets are $22 & $17 for adults and $12 for children age 12 and younger.

Columbus Children’s Theatre Mr. Scrooge – Saturday, December 8 at 2pm — From the snowy streets of 19th century London to the ghostly apparitions of Christmas past, present and future, professional actors vividly portray not just the authentic details but also the emotional impact of Dickens’ holiday tale about Ebenezer Scrooge. Sponsored by United Federal Credit Union.  General admission tickets are $6.

Bob Hope Holiday Road Show – Sunday, December 9 at 2pm — It’s a fun filled, nostalgic trip back to the golden days of radio and a tribute to icons of radio and the silver screen with a holiday twist.  Complete with on stage announcer and era commercials plus legendary guest stars, W.C. Fields, Jimmy Durante, Jack Benny and Red Skelton-all portrayed by Lynn Roberts.  Sponsored by Wyandot, Inc..  Tickets are available for $22 & $18.

Micky’s Monkees Christmas — Friday, December 15 at 8pm — Micky Dolenz, the fun-loving, incomparable lead singer of The Monkees gives stirring performances of timeless Christmas classics, surprises for the kids, as well as his Monkees TV mega Top 40 Hits that made Micky Dolenz a household name. Sponsored by Marion Industrial Center, Inc. Tickets are $40, $30, $26, $22.
