Invokause, a non-profit organization that specializes in developing creative programs for charitable initiatives, has created a unique program – Buckeyes For A Cure – to support the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.
Over the next several months, volunteers will gather and number 100,000 buckeyes, with the goal of constructing the world’s largest buckeye necklace to support the fight against breast cancer. For a $2.50 donation to the Buckeyes For A Cure program, a numbered buckeye will be added to the ever-growing necklace. Contributors will be able to view a picture of their numbered buckeye on the buckeyesforacure.com site. If the goal of 100,000 buckeyes is met, the necklace will span a mile and a half in length. When the program has concluded, the extraordinary necklace will be on display at a location to be determined.
