Fahey Bank has announces the November Athletes of the Month for 2012 are Hannah Campbell, Devlin McDaniel, and LJ Scott II, who attend River Valley, Pleasant, and Harding High Schools.
Hannah Campbell, the Female Athlete of the Month, is a repeat winner of the Athlete of the Month award, as she has previously won the award in June 2012 and October 2011. Hannah ran cross country for River Valley this past fall. Hannah broke the school record for the 5K cross country race with the time of 18:36. Hannah won many meets this season including the MOAC Conference Meet and the District Meets. Hannah finished the season with a 6th place finish at the State meet.
Honorable Mentions were Jace Wolf of Elgin, Kayla Briley of Pleasant, Whitney Marshall of Ridgedale, Loren Bollinger of Marion Harding, and Paxton Flugga of Marion Catholic.
LJ Scott II is a co-winner of the Fahey Bank Male Athlete of the Month. LJ was an all around player and the star running back for Marion Harding this football season. LJ had a total of 2,185 all purpose yards this season. LJ averaged 7.5 yards per rush and broke the Harding school record for rushing yards in a game with 357 yards. LJ also played defense for Harding and had 97 tackles.
Devlin McDaniel, of Pleasant High School, is also a co-winner of the Fahey Bank Male Athlete of the Month. Devlin had a tremendous senior season as a wide receiver and defensive back for the Spartans. Devlin averaged 20.1 yards per catch this season, which included 11 receiving touchdowns. Devlin completed his high school football career as the All time Spartan leader in all receiving categories.
