The Marion Popcorn Festival has announced that WANTED: The Bon Jovi Tribute Band will take the main stage at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2013 as part of the Festival’s Bike Nite festivities. Their performance, as with all main stage entertainment, is free. In addition, local rock band Cherry Blond, featuring the hits of the 70’s, 80s, 90s & today, will play for the early Bike Nite crowd from 6:00 – 7:15.
Previously announced main stage entertainment includes the iconic group The Village People on Friday, September 6, and country artist Jo Dee Messina on Saturday, September 7.
In the past 30 years, Bon Jovi has sold over 120 million albums worldwide and sustained their popularity well into the new millennium. WANTED: The Bon Jovi Tribute Band will bring festival attendees classic hits such as “Runaway”, ”Livin’ on A Prayer”, “You Give Love a Bad Name”, “Wanted Dead or Alive”, “It’s My Life”, and “Have a Nice Day”. The members of WANTED: The Bon Jovi Tribute Band say they are dedicated to paying tribute to” this great American Rock and Roll band” and ”to performing the music of Bon Jovi the way it was meant to be played”.
The 2013 dates of the Marion Popcorn Festival are September 5, 6, and 7. All performances on the Festival’s main stage begin at 8:30 p.m. and are free of charge. A limited number of Kernel sponsorship seats are available for any of the main stage performances by calling 740-383-2076.
