The MARMET / METRICH Drug Task Force conducted “Operation Summer Heat” on Friday, June 14, 2013. MARMET was assisted by officers from the Marion Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Marion County Probation, and Marion City Probation. The purpose of the operation was to be proactive in serving arrest warrants and to work drug locations known to the task force members.
“Given the reductions in manpower over the last year, an operation like this was not conducted. It was great to get out and be proactive in dealing with the issues instead of reactive,” stated Lt.
