The Marion Police Department says they arrested three men for dealing drugs from a Marion motel room. The arrests came early Monday morning when officers from the Marion Police Department responded at just after midnight to a call of drug trafficking at the Stay Inn Motel, 725 North Main Street.
Upon their arrival, officers said they could see two men through the window of the suspected room packaging heroin at a table. Because the drugs were in plain view, officers forced their way into the room in order to secure the drugs and suspects before the drugs could be destroyed.
Investigators say over 100 bindles of suspected heroin and a small amount of cash were confiscated and three men, all from Chicago, Il, were arrested.
Those arrested included:
- Jeremy Coleman, 25, for Trafficking in Heroin and Tampering with Evidence
- Lewis Partee (AKA Lewis Tate), 25, for Trafficking in Heroin
- Alvin Waddy, 27, for Trafficking in Heroin
The three were taken to the Multi-County Correctional Center to await formal charges from the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
