Kids and Adults Sought for Two Upcoming Palace Productions

Marion Palace TheatreDirector Greg Patterson will hold auditions on August 11 and August 12, 2013 for the Palace Theatre’s fall production of the Pulitzer-prize winning play Harvey and Director Kristi Wink announces she will hold auditions on August 17 and August 18, 2013 for the Palace Theatre’s junior musical production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Jr.

Patterson is seeking adults ages 20 years and up, to fill 12 character roles for the comedy play Harvey. Auditions will be cold readings from scenes from the script.  Those interested may audition on Sunday, August 11 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. & Monday, August 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Participants should enter through the May Pavilion.

Performance dates for Harvey are scheduled for Friday, Sept 20 at 8pm, Saturday, Sept 21 at 8pm, and Sunday, Sept 22 at 2pm.  Tickets are $20.

Wink will be selecting children age 8 to 14 for the musical production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Jr.  Auditioners should come dressed in casual clothing appropriate for performing choreography. Anyone interested in a principle role should also be prepared to read from the script. Those interested in the chorus will audition in groups. Individuals wishing to audition for principle roles are asked to come prepared to sing a solo. Auditioners are requested to select a one-minute audition tune. A pianist will be provided. No CDs please.  Those interested may audition on Saturday, August 17 or Sunday, August 18 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Participants should enter through the May Pavilion.

Performance dates for Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Jr. are scheduled for Friday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, October 12 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, October 13 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $18 adults, $12 students.
