OSUM Team Prepared for Weekend’s Pelotonia Bike Trek

Pelotonia - Team MarionTeam Marion has been preparing to ride as part of Pelotonia 2013 this Saturday, August 10, 2013. Faculty and staff from The Ohio State University at Marion will embark on a 50 to 100 mile trek across the state to raise money for cancer research as part of this year’s Pelotonia bike tour.

The team has raised a total of $7028 to date and can still accept donations by visiting pelotonia.org and search “Team Marion” to make an online donation.

Founded in Columbus, Ohio in 2008, Pelotonia is a grassroots bike tour with one goal:  end cancer.  Since the inception of Pelotonia $42 million has been raised, with 100% of every dollar raised going directly to cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Comprehensive Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.

Pelotonia 2013 involves 6,682 riders who have raised a grand total of $10,127,350 for cancer research to date.
