The MARMET / METRICH Drug Task Force says they arrested a man for drug trafficking on Tuesday for the second time. On February 4th, 2014, detectives from MARMET, along with the Marion Police Department, arrested Courtney Myles, 22, as a suspected crack and heroin drug dealer.
Officials say the investigation had been ongoing since Myles release on bond for engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and drug trafficking.
“It is very discouraging to law enforcement and detrimental to our community when we have to deal with the same drug dealers over and over again, as if they have no fear of the consequences for their actions,” stated Lt. Chris Adkins of MARMET.
Myles, who police say is originally from Mississippi, was taken to the Multi-County Correctional Center on two counts Trafficking in Heroin and two counts of Trafficking in Crack Cocaine. The case will be forwarded to the Marion County Prosecutor for formal charges.
Lt. Adkins encourages the public to continue to use the TIPS Line, 740-375-TIPS, to report suspicious behavior and crime tips.
