Scott and Roberta Ruth, owners of Marion, Ohio electrical contractor Cogburn Electric, Inc., have recently donated the necessary materials needed to construct a new multi person work station for the Industrial Electricity class at the Pioneer Career and Technology Center in Shelby Ohio.
Under the direction of instructor Rob Flannery, the work station will allow his class to be an even stronger, more vibrant place to learn. Whether it’s electrical disconnects, transformers, or motor controls, the workstation will allow students to construct different real world applications, see them in action, then remove and reconfigure.
“The electrical trade is faced with a severe shortage of skilled workers, so it’s great to see a school helping to combat that. Cogburn Electric, Inc. is glad to lend a hand with advancing both interest and knowledge in our field. We are committed to helping today’s students become tomorrow’s skilled workforce for the betterment of the industry as a whole,” said Scott Ruth.
Cogburn Electric, Inc. is also pleased to be hosting both an Ohio State electrical engineer and a Pioneer Career Center industrial electrician student as interns for the summer of 2014.
Established in Marion in 1975, Cogburn Electric, Inc is a full service electrical contractor for Marion and the surrounding areas.
