Auditions Announced For Palace Production of “The Fantasticks”

Marion Palace TheatreDirector, Greg Patterson will hold auditions in the May Pavilion for the Palace Theatre’s August production of “The Fantasticks” on Monday, July 14 and Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 6pm to 8pm. Participants may audition either day and should enter through the front May Pavilion doors.

Patterson is seeking adults ages 16 years and up, to fill 8 character roles for the play. Auditioners are asked to come with a prepared ballad and an up tempo Broadway musical selection. Those auditioning should come dressed in casual clothing and dance shoes appropriate for performing choreography. Anyone interested in a principle role should also be prepared to read from the script.

“The Fantasticks” is a funny and romantic musical about a boy, a girl, two fathers and a wall. The audience travels into a world of moonlight and magic and sees the boy and the girl fall in love, grow apart, and finally find their way back to each other.

“The Fantasticks” performance dates are August 22 & 23 at 7:30 p.m. and August 24 at 2 p.m. in the Palace Theatre May Pavilion. Tickets will go on sale to the General Public Monday, August 4 at 9:00 a.m.
