Brian P. Kavanagh, age 73, of Marion, died Sunday, August 3, 2014.
Where the road rises up to meet you and the wind is at your back, this is where Brian P. Kavanagh will find rest and peace.
This is the journey of a life well lived by our Father, Husband, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend.
He is met at heaven’s gate by Jesus, where he will be given a gown of salvation. Preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Ethel Kavanagh, Sister and Brother in law Patricia and Archie Harford, Brother and Sister in law William and Louise Pennington.
He is remembered and loved by his wife Margaret “Peg” Predmore Kavanagh of Florida, his daughters Dawn Kavanagh of Marion, Cathy Kavanagh of Upper Sandusky, grandsons Kyle and Clayton Ralston of Marion-La Rue, granddaughters, Danielle, Brianna Cortez and Amy Cox of Upper Sandusky, Brother and Sister in law Daniel and Nancy Kavanagh of Indiana, five nephews, and three nieces.
Brian was very proud of his Irish heritage. He loved to ride his motorcycle and play golf. He enjoyed numerous years in Florida with his wife. He worked at the Pro Shop at Torrey Oaks Golf Club. He was involved with his community in Florida as a resident spokesperson for his section of the park.
In earlier years he was a graduate of Marion Catholic 1960’s class. He worked for BF Goodrich and retired from Parker Hannifin. He loved to camp and travel in his R.V. He would spend hours at the ball fields watching his grandsons play ball. He reserved special times with his granddaughters for sharing family dinners and movies. He had favorite memories of his life time friends Dennis and Nell Blue as well as Bill Eaches. They had plenty of horse endeavors and antics together.
Priceless is the time we’ve shared together. We are saddened by our loss. Until we meet again may the sun shine warmly upon you face and may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
