The Marion Police Department has arrested a man from Kentucky for the alleged rape of a Marion women over the weekend.
On Saturday, November 1, 2014, an adult female reported to police that she had been raped in her home at knife point by an unknown black male in the Northeast section of Marion around 2:30 a.m. She was taken to Marion General Hospital where she was treated and released.
Officers and detectives from the Marion Police Department said they were able to identify and locate the suspect, Curtiss W. Brown from Louisville, Kentucky. Police said the 28-year-old Brown had been in Marion for about one month prior to this incident.
Brown was taken to the Multi-County Correctional Center on charges of Aggravated Rape, a felony of the first degree, and Aggravated Robbery, a felony of the first degree. Additional charges may follow after the case is reviewed by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
