Marion Senior Center celebrating 50 years of service

Marion Senior CenterThe Marion Senior Center will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary with a special event hosted at the Center on Monday, July 13, 2015 at noon. The indoor event will include dinner, followed by a program, and entertainment. The public is invited to join us for this special celebration.

Guests can take a trip down memory lane viewing many photos and newspaper articles that will be on display from the Senior Center’s archives. (Note: If anyone has personal photos you’d like to share, please contact the Center.) Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with former friends and staff, as well as many local dignitaries who will be joining the Center for this special day.

Invited guests include former Senior Center directors Bede Agner and Sue Wisebaker, Mayor Scott Schertzer, and County Commissioners Dan Russell, Ken Stiverson and Andy Appelfeller. Musical entertainment will be performed by Ann Schertzer.

Dinner will be served at noon, with a menu of Pork Chop BBQ, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Dinner Roll, Cake and a Beverage. Cost is only $5.

Tickets are available at the Transportation Desk through Thursday, July 9th.

Marion Senior Center is located at 2375 Harding Highway East.
