Officials set to test County tornado sirens this Saturday

Typically, Marion County’s tornado sirens are tested at noon on the last Saturday of every month to insure proper operation. However, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office reports that this month the test will be conducted at noon this Saturday, August 22. 2015 due to siren activation equipment being moved and upgraded.

All tornado sirens in Marion County will be set off so that verification that the upgrades and the new installation of the siren activation equipment was successful.
