Marion Palace Theatre showing ‘Bridge of Spies’

Movie-goers will have the chance to see ‘Bridge of Spies’ a dramatic thriller starring two-time Oscar ® winner Tom Hanks (‘Philadelphia,’ ‘Forrest Gump’) at the historic Marion Palace Theatre on November 20, 21 and 22, 2015.

Inspired by true events, this historical drama is set during the Cold War and tells the story of James Donavan (Hanks), a Brooklyn insurance claims lawyer who agrees to defend captured Soviet spy Rudolf Abel. When an American pilot is shot down over the USSR and captured, the CIA sends Donavan to East Berlin on the near-impossible mission to negotiate a prisoner exchange.

‘Bridge of Spies’ was directed by Steven Spielberg and has been rated PG-13 for some violence and brief strong language. Running time 141 minutes.

Show times for the film are:

  • Friday, November 20 at 7:30pm
  • Saturday, November 21 at 2pm and 7:30pm
  • Sunday, November 22 at 7:30pm

Concessions will be available and are reasonably priced. Items available for purchase include candy bars for $1 each and 20 oz. Pepsi products, popcorn and boxed theatre candy for $2 each.
