Ossie E. Adams age 82 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Tuesday March 1, 2011 at his residence.
He was born July 12, 1928 in Magoffin Co. Ky. to the late Raney P. and Della (Risner) Adams.
Ossie is survived by a son and three daughters; Garland B. (Susan) Adams of Marion, Ohio, Brenda G. Surber and Ruie F. (Richard) Ferriman both of Marion, Ohio and Carma L. (Gary) Armstrong of Nevada, Ohio. Also surviving is a brother and a sister; Orville P. Adams of South Webster, Ohio and May Schrieber of Indiana; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-granchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Ossie was preceded in death by a grandson, one brother, Elmer D. Adams and five sisters, Audley Hunley, Gladys Crace, Thelma Roarke, Ivory Crace, and Flossie Conley.
Ossie was a retired assembler with the former Tecumseh Products Company. He was a member of the Old United Baptist Church, he loved church singing, computers, coin collecting, was an avid reader, was self- educated, loved humor and he was an avid bike rider.
On Monday March 14, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home, there will be a Memorial Service for Ossie. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Bob Hackney. Friends may call one prior to the service from 6 to 7 P.M.
