Donald A. Houseworth, Sr. age 76 of Marion, died on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at his home in Marion surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on December 19, 1939 in Ashley, Ohio to the late Mary L. (Patterson) and Earl Houseworth. He lived with his partner Ruth (Houseworth) Doolittle who survives. He worked 18 years at Marion Power Shovel. He also worked at Nickles Bakery and Haines Manufacturing. He retired from J. Lenco of LaRue where he worked from 18 years.
Also surviving are two sons: Donald (Sandy) Houseworth, Jr. and Paul (Cheryl) Houseworth of Marion; three daughters: Donna (Dan) Beechum, Rebecca “Becky” (“Buddy”) Wilson and Heather (Denver) Cline; three brothers: Jack, Richard “Butch” (Jeannie) Houseworth of Marion and Eddie Houseworth of Texas and one sister Erline Houseworth of Marion; 18 grandchildren; 36 great grand children; 3 great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Paul E. Bostic, Gerald “Jerry” and Vernon Houseworth.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center St., Marion from 4PM to 7PM and also Wednesday from 9:30AM to 10:30AM; Graveside services will follow at 11AM in Grand Prairie Cemetery with Pastor Robert Landon, Jr. officiating.
