William G. Franklin, age 76, of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 at his residence. On July 16, 1940, he was born to the late Lewis Wilson and Litha (Charles) Franklin, and on June 7, 1963, he married his wife Peggy Wells.
He is survived by his wife Peggy; his sons Donald Franklin of Marion, Ohio, and William “Tod” Franklin at California; his daughter Janice Walter of Marion, Ohio; his brother Steve (Carolyn) Franklin of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; his sisters Mary Messer of Kentucky, Betty Meddings of Lima, Ohio, and Janita Langan of Lima, Ohio; and his six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son Chris Allen Franklin.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 26, 2016 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11 AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the LaRue Cemetery.
