Sola Meade, age 90, of Morral, Ohio, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. On December 10, 1925, she was born to the late Sammie and Stella (Cantrell) Lemaster, and on October 23, 1942, she married Jim R. Meade, who preceded her in death on January 22, 2013.
Sola was a long-time member of the Gebhardt Enterprise Baptist Church and a lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and word search puzzles, and she spent much of her time reading her bible.
She is survived by her children Willis (Norma) Meade, Delano Meade, Harry (Jackie) Meade, Wanda Stowe, Gary (Shirley) Meade, Kathy (Charlie) McCoy, Larry (Judy) Meade, Rickie (Karen) Meade, Leroy Meade, Sammie (Jennifer) Meade, and Marty (Misty) Meade; her brother Francis Lemaster; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her daughter Julie Bentley; her brothers Clyde, Sammie, Jr., Willie, and Willis; and her sisters Imajean and Virginia.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 26, 2016 from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Marion Enterprise Baptist Church. Services will take place at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
