Velma Mae Johnson, age 75 of New Plymouth, OH passed away Saturday morning October 08th, 2016 in Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
Velma was born September 1st, 1941 in Zaleski, Ohio as the daughter of the late Clifton A. & Violet (Peek) Albaugh.
On October 22nd 1959 she married John Johnson and he preceded her in death.
Velma was a retired production worker from Pillsbury at Wellston, Ohio and had also been employed for Abott & Co. in Iberia for 20 years. When at home she loved to sew, especially curtains. She loved her family and liked nothing more than looking after her kids, grand kids and great grand kids.
Velma will be sadly missed by her children, Tamara (Rob) Rose of Caledonia, Tracy (Tim) Johnson of Edison, Johnne Johnson of New Plymouth , Velma (Michael Markin) Johnson of New Plymouth and Timothy Johnson of Cardington. Eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She also leaves her three sisters, Doris Daniels of Westerville, Donna Ely of Bucyrus and Thelma LeMay of Zaleski. She was preceded in death by her three brothers and a grandson Jason.
Funeral Services for Velma will be held on Saturday October 15th at 1:00 P.M. at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia with Jimmy Butters officiating. Interment will follow in Sixteen Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 until time of service.
