Betty Irene KennedyBetty Irene Kennedy, our beautiful mother, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 16, 2016 in her home at Willow Brook Christian Village in Delaware, Ohio after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.  Betty, better known as Irene, was born November 22, 1938 in West Virginia to the late Brooks McKinley and Tennessee (Payne) Roberts.

Irene was a hardworking and loving mother and grandmother.  While raising her family, Irene worked for over 20 years at Tecumseh in Marion and was a proud member of their bowling team where she won several tournaments.  Irene also modeled for Mary Kay, traveling to their expositions.  She also attended adult education classes at Tri-Rivers studying Horticulture which added to her love of flower arranging and decorating.

Irene was a fun loving person who loved her family, playing with her grandchildren and spending time with her siblings.  You could find her playing on swing sets, trampolines and even riding go carts and 3 wheelers with her grand kids.  She would visit and even travel with her siblings having good times and taking pictures.  Irene would always plant impatients every year and display hanging ferns outside her home.  Irene will also be remembered for making her zucchini bread which everyone loved and enjoyed.
