Frances D. Lytle, age 93, of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born April 15, 1923 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, to the late Floyd S. and A. Marie (Thorpe) Jackson. On January 10, 1947, she married Carl E. Lytle.
Frances retired from B.F. Goodrich after 25 years of work. In addition to being an avid (and extraordinarily lucky) bingo player, Frances was a long-time member of the Green Camp United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, White Shrine, and was most blessed to be a 60-year member of the Green Camp Friendship Club.
She is survived by her son Steve (Amy) Lytle of Dublin, Ohio; her daughter Karla Lytle of Marion, Ohio; her grandson David Burch of Denver, Colorado; her special nephew Gary (Karen) Jackson of Canton, Ohio; “special” family Sara Igo of Denver, Colorado, and Craig Buchholz (wife Beth, and daughters Grace and Claire) of Hilliard, Ohio; many other nieces, nephews, and dear friends; special friends Deb and Ed Damphouse; and also Kayle, her four-legged daughter. A special thanks to the caregivers, hospice nurses, and staff at Riverside Methodist Hospital, 7th Floor Yellow.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl E. Lytle on November 14, 2015; her brothers George, Garland, and Claude; and her sister Shirley “Dottie” Jordan.
Calling hours will take place Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Services to follow at 11 AM with Pastor Josh Freshour officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
