Lois J. Slone, age 84, of Marion, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at her residence, surrounded by family.
On September 12, 1932, she was born to the late Austin and Tina (Slone) Casebolt in Raven, Kentucky, and on October 4, 1951 in Garner, Kentucky, she married her husband Coshel Slone, who still survives.
Lois considered shopping to be one of her favorite hobbies, and she loved garage sales. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she was known for her homemade candy at Christmastime. She volunteered at Goodwill, and she spent 21 years working for Pic Industries before her retirement.
She is survived by her daughter Teresa (Russell) Sivey of Richwood, Ohio; her brothers Alger Casebolt of Kentucky, Stanley Casebolt of Arizona, and Conrad (Joyce) Casebolt of Kentucky; her sister Shirley Wolverton of South Carolina; her grandchildren Rusty and Amanda Sivey of Marion and Michael (Joni) Sivey of Clintonville; and her great-grandchildren Harper and Riley Sivey.
She was preceded in death by one sister.
Calling hours will take place on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Price Cemetery.
