Betty J. Postell, age 93, of Marion, Ohio, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Marion General Hospital.
On April 22, 1923, she was born to the late Lloyd and Margaret (Seiple) Gillette, and on June 23, 1942, she married her husband Robert Postell, Sr.
Betty graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1941, and she later retired from BF Goodrich after 25 years of work as a braider operator. She loved casinos and scratch-offs, and she was a major Tony Orlando fan. She will always be remembered as a woman who loved everyone, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Robert Postell, Sr.; her son Robert (Tada) Postell, Jr., of Nevada, Ohio; her daughter Rebecca Patrick of Marion and her daughter-in-law Laura Postell of Marion; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her son John W. Postell, one brother, and two sisters.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Services will take place at 11 AM with burial to follow at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.
