William A. McCreary age 62 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Tuesday April 26, 2011 at the Marion General Hospital.
He was born January 19, 1949 in Galion, Ohio to the late Vincent and Betty (Miller) McCreary.
On July 3, 1971 in New Winchester, Ohio, Bill married Judy Clark and she survives.
After 42 years as a Designer, Bill retired from Floyd Browne and Associates.
He was a member of Oak Knoll Baptist Church, a 1967 graduate of Marion Harding High School and the Stephen Chaney Post of the V.F.W. Bill served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971. He also was an avid fisherman, loved hunting, biking, hiking and mushroom hunting.
Other survivers include his son; Scott A. (Laura Mahle) of Marion, Ohio. Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a brother, Terry McCreary. There will be a graveside service for Bill and burial at the Whetstone Cemetery on Saturday April 30, 2011 at 11:30 A.M. There will also be Military Rites at the cemetery by the Marion County United Veterans Council. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Saturday April 30, 2011 from 10 to 11 A.M.
