James C. Neal, age 76, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2011.
Born in Greenville, PA, to Fred Neal and Alice (Weldon) McConnell.
He was a kind soft-hearted man with a witty sense of humor. He enjoyed the great outdoors which included hunting, fishing, camping, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles. His greatest joy was his two children and four grandchildren.
Jim is retired from GTE with 33 years of service. His church home is the Mt. Vernon Avenue Church of Christ.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Jo-Ann (Rine) Neal of 47 years; his children: Kim (Bill) Fetter and Doug Neal; grandchildren: Andrea (Fiancé Brian Bruno) Fetter of Alexandria, VA, Arick Fetter, A.J. Fetter and Shalyn Neal all of Marion, OH; Sister Pat Gough of St. Augustine, FL.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents.
The Neal family will greet friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center St. Marion OH. A Funeral Service will take place Thursday at 11AM at Mt. Vernon Avenue Church of Christ, 947 Mt. Vernon Ave. Marion, OH, with Pastor Phil Williams officiating. Burial will be in Brush Ridge Grand Prairie Cemetery.
