Clarence M. Wright age 87 of Marion, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Marion General Hospital.
He was born November 1, 1923 in Summit Station, Ohio to the late Clarence E. and Eda (Monroe) Wright.
On December 24, 1943 he married A. Jeanette (Roberts) Wright, she survives in Marion.
Clarence was employed at the former Marion Power Shovel for 43 years as a forger/blacksmith. He was a life member of The Triangle Motorcycle Club and the Country Music Association of Ohio. He was also the Past President of the United Steel Workers of America Local #1949, and a member of Masonis Lodge #70 F.A & M of Marion.
He is survived by his wife, A. Jeanette Wright of Marion, a daughter, Penny Throckmorton of Kennesaw, GA., two sisters, Genevieve Palmer of Delaware, Oh., Ruth Rengert of Waldo, OH., a brother, Kenneth (Janet) Wright of Richwood. OH., one grandson, Aaron Throckmorton of Douglasville, GA., and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Clarence was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Wilcox.
Funeral Services for Clarence will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011 10:30 AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home, burial will follow at Waldo Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, May 13, 2011 from 5 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
