Clovis Lee Whittington, Sr. age 76 of Marion passed away at his home on Friday January 5, 2018.
Clovis was born on July 11, 1941 in Marion, the son of Hollis Oliver and Evelyn Eloise (Graff) Whittington. Clovis was a man of many talents and a jack of all trades. He worked hard to provide for his family, retiring from Tecumseh.
Clovis was an ornery guy that kept people on their toes. He was the kind of guy everyone loved being around. He was a great father, grandfather and friend. He loved to work with horses, fish, hunt (especially coon hunting), watch football and he enjoyed taking walks all over town. Clovis lived his life to the fullest and made memories that will last a lifetime.
He will be remembered by his children: Lora Shadley, Janet (Jason McDole) Whittington and Clovis (Michelle) Whittington, Jr.; grandchildren: Roxanne, Shannon, Jerry, Jesse Sparks, R.J., Trent, Keith, Haley, Kristen, MacKenzie and Colton; numerous great grandchildren; and brothers: Bob and Jim Whittington.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bill Whittington.
Visitation will be Wednesday January 10, 2018 at Snyder Funeral Homes, GUNDER/HALL Chapel, 347 West Center St., Marion from 11AM to 1PM; Graveside services will follow at Marion Cemetery with Pastor Keith Irey officiating.
Donations may be made to Ohio Health Hospice or Alzheimer’s Association.
