Calling it a "break from tradition," the Marion County GOP has chosen sides in an upcoming primary.
In the Marion County Commissioner primary race featuring River Valley School Board President Ken Stiverson taking on former Marion County Commissioner Ken Frayer, the GOP has chosen to endorse Stiverson.
“We feel that both Republican Candidates would do a great job for the voters of Marion County, but feel that Mr. Stiverson’s forward-thinking vision, past service to our community, and positive outlook aligns with our foundational beliefs and hope for Marion’s future,” said party chairman John Matthews.
The GOP also endorsed Judge Deborah Alspach for Marion County Family Court who will be unopposed in the general election and Lew Holland, who will not be opposed in the primary, but will run against current democratic auditor Joann Kasotis in November.
