Earl F. Bucy, of Marion, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the Ohio State University Medical Center. He was 65 years old.
Earl was born in Steubenville, Ohio March 9, 1945 to the late Clarence F. and Barbara Mary Ellen (Birch) Bucy. He married Bonnie A. Clarston on October 18, 1994 in Marion.
He was retired from the U.S. Navy. He also worked as a printer operator and retired from Audsam Printing. Earl was of the Nazarene Faith. He loved to fish and was an avid Navy movie watcher. He would watch any movie concerning the Navy. He was a member at American Legion Post 584 and was a former commander.
Earl is survived by his wife, Bonnie Bucy of Marion; two sons, Mark, and Chad Bucy both of Jacksonville, Florida; two step-sons, Tim and Ted Shifflet both of Marion; step-daughter, Lynn (John) Garofallo of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four step-great grandchildren; and three brothers, Gary Lee Gray of Martins Ferry, Ohio, Pete Russell of Marion, and Bill Russell of Martins Ferry, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Calling hours will be held from 4-7 PM. A funeral service will begin at 7 PM with Reverend Barkley Slone officiating.
