Sheila F. Klingel, age 86, of Marion passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011 at the Partners of Marion Care and Rehabilitation.
Sheila was born on May 14, 1945 to the late William and Gladys (Keefer) Iffland in Metamora, Ohio. She graduated from Waldo High School in 1943 and then worked as a cook in the school system until her retirement on February 21, 1985.
On August 19, 1945 Shelia was united in marriage to Louis E. Klingel. They spent their life together living in Waldo and raising their family. While living there, she was very involved in her church and community. She was a member of the Peace Community United Church of Christ, Faith Women’s Circle, Eastern Star #147 of Ashley, American Legion #605 Auxiliary and the Pythian Sisters.
Those who remain to honor her memory include her children: Cheryl (Gerald) Waugh of Marion, Jeffrey J. (Patti) Klingel of Hanover, Maryland and Kim E. (Lori) Klingel of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren: Lisa Waugh, Jennifer Waugh, Shawn Klingel, Shane (Kimberly) Klingel, Seth Klingel and Beth Ann (Rhett) Herroitt; great grandchildren: Ethan, Cole, Marshall, Madison and McKenna; a sister Bonnie Brown of Cardington.
Sheila is preceded in death by her parents William and Gladys Iffland; and brothers: Ralph Butler and B.B. Butler.
Friends may call Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center Street, Marion from 4PM to 7PM; Funeral services will be held Thursday at the Peace Community United Church of Christ, 4061 Columbus Sandusky Road South, Waldo at 11AM with Rev. Joel Fetter and Rev. Frank Isaacs officiating. Burial will follow in Waldo Cemetery.
