Jimmy “Jim” Gattshall passed away at Marion General Hospital on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. He was born to the late Lewis and Bessie (Stoll) Gattshall on August 11, 1937. One of six siblings remain, Harold Gattshall of Marion.
He worked for American Homecraft and was self-employed for many years.
On November 5, 1961, he married Patricia (Russell) Gattshall. From this union were Jim (Debbie) Gattshall, and Tim (Richa) Gattshall of Marion, and Kim (Doug) Moser of Dublin. There are also six grandchildren, Aaron (Kaitlyn Mayer) Gattshall of Marion, Holli Gattshall of Zanesville, Kyle Moser and Connor Moser of Dublin, Kaylee Moser of Washington, and Mike Zimmerman of Findlay, and one great-grandson, Elliott Gattshall.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Gattshall, and a granddaughter, Echo Zimmerman.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 3 pm to 6 pm at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Services will take place on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 10 am at the Marion Enterprise Baptist Church, 130 Orton St., Marion. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
