Martha Ann Haserodt, 69, of Prospect

Martha Ann Haserodt, age 69 of Prospect died peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 14, 2011.

She was born July 11, 1941 in Delaware to the late George and Ruth (Keefer) Wheeler.

A member of Prospect United Methodist Church, she was a 1959 graduate of Prospect High School and a 1964 graduate of Ohio Northern University, where she met the love of her life, James T. Haserodt.  They were married on April 3, 1966 in Marion.  She received her B. A. in education and was a member of Delta Zeta sorority.  After they were married she joined her husband in Colorado where he was stationed.  After returning to Ohio, Ann taught middle school English, primarily in the Marion City School District at the Edison Middle School.  After that she substitute taught in Marion and Union Counties.  She also worked at GTE and the Reader’s Digest Dept. of Fulfillment Corp.  She was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes fan.  Ann thoroughly enjoyed traveling and loved planning all the details of their trips.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Christopher (Stacey Barrett) Haserodt, Prospect; Marc A. (Robin Lester) Haserodt, Delaware; a grandson, Zane Haserodt; and a sister, Rita Brutchey, Marion.

Private family services will be held at Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Prospect with Pastor Rich Allen officiating.  Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery.
