Rodney J. Rish, 71, Marion, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2010 in Marion General Hospital. He was born on August 2, 1938 in Kenton, Ohio to the late Delmar and Helen (Shumaker) Rish.
Rodney graduated from Kenton High School and served in the Army. He was honorably discharged in September of 1967. He worked and retired from Whirlpool after 45 years of service to the company.
Rodney is survived by his children, William Rish of Marion, Michael (Lisa) Rish of Avon Lake, Kathleen Rish of Columbus and Michelle Rish of Marion; 5 grandchildren and 3 nieces; brothers, James (Linda) Rish and Thomas Rish all of Marion; a sister, Jeanine Rish of Kenton. Preceding him in death was his wife, Adelene L. (Brown) Rish who passed away in 2003.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 28, 2010 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2010 in the funeral home with Sister JoAn Brodman celebrant. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
