Anna M. Slane, age 81, of Marion, Ohio went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Morningview Pointe.
She was born June 16, 1926 in Waterloo, Ohio to the late Charles and Mary (Spillman) Sparks.
On September 21, 1946 she married her true love, Evan L. Slane, he survives in Marion.
Anna was a resident of Marion most of her life where she was a member of Marion Enterprise Baptist Church and she loved working in her yard and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Evan L. Slane of Marion, OH., her three children, Larry Slane of Sun City, CA., Sharon (John) Clutter of Marion, OH., Larry (Marybeth) Slane of Wildomar, CA., six grandchildren, Mikel Anderson, Courtney (Jeff) Davis, Leanne Slane, Meghan (Mike) Harding, Amiee (Jeret) McClellan, Erin (Scott) Addison, nine great grandchildren, five sisters, Edna Addis of Marion, OH., Edith Mitchell of Huston, TX., Nannabelle Moore of Marion, OH., Marge Slane of Marion, OH., Lillian Mitchell of Marion, OH., a brother, Arnold Sparks of Marion, OH., beloved nephew, Ron (Jill) McQuerry of Marion, OH., and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Morton, Sherman, Oakley, George and Clyde Sparks.
Funeral service for Anna will be Saturday, May 29, 2010 11 AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Corey Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 28, 2010 from 6 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
