Caroll Lee Blankenship, age 74, sadly passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born in South Lebanon, Ohio on June 4, 1937, the son of Oscar and Elizabeth (Gilday) Blankenship.
Caroll loved his family and friends. He loved sitting out on the porch picking his daily lottery numbers. It was the simple things in life that Caroll enjoyed such as gathering with friends, a smile, a laugh, a good cup of coffee, cookouts and enjoying the sunshine. Those who knew Caroll knew him to be a really great guy and will be dearly missed.
Those who remain to honor is memory include his two daughters: Treva (Tony) Bourbonnais of Bucyrus, Ohio and Deborah Marks of Marion, Ohio; Four grandchildren: Trista Blankenship, Matthew (Brittany) Schenk, Kari (Allen) Patz and Meranda Meadows all of Marion, Ohio; Five great grandchildren: Tyra Hall, Macy Moore, Hailey Patz, Jada Moore and Jordan Schenk all of Marion, Ohio; Siblings: Charles (Patricia) Blankenship, William (Grace) Blankenship, David Blankenship all of Marion, Ohio and June (Floyd) Webb of Boca Raton, Florida.
Caroll is preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Elizabeth Blankenship and a sister Jewel (Larry) Roth.
Friends may call at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center Street, Marion, Ohio on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 3PM to 5PM; Funeral services celebrating Caroll’s life will immediately follow at 5PM.
