Pauline Harvey, age 87, of Marion, passed away Saturday evening, July 2, 2011 at The Partner’s of Marion.
She was born on April 1, 1924 in Cardington, Ohio to Troy and Jeanne (Osborne) Burggraf. She was educated in the Cardington School District and graduated in the class of 1942. On June 16, 1945, Pauline was united in marriage to F. Marion Harvey.
Pauline was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church. She spent time working in the Marion City School District as a cook, she enjoyed working at Montgomery Ward and also at Henney & Cooper. She also enjoyed volunteering her time and talents at Marion General Hospital. Those who knew Pauline knew she enjoyed working crossword puzzles and watching her soap operas. She loved spending time with her family where she spoiled them with large family dinners.
Pauline is survived by her children: Roger Harvey, Doug Harvey, Gloria Douglas, Julia (Earl) Simpkins and Joyce (Sam) VanGundy; her grandchildren: Sabrina (Jason) Pendergrast, Samantha (Tom) Nohl, Chris Douglas, Earl (Alyce) Simpkins IV, Robin Douglas and Sara Douglas; Great grandchildren: Taylor, Reece, Logan, Daniel, Brady and Ty.
She is preceded in death by her husband F. Marion Harvey; parents Troy and Jeanne (Osborne) Burggraf and her sister Marjorie Cook.
Visitation will be Friday, July 8, 2011 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center Street, Marion from 4PM to 7PM. Funeral services celebrating Pauline’s life will be held Saturday at the funeral home at 10AM will Pastor Dave Carlisle officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.
