Danny A. Holcomb age 61 and a lifetime resident of Marion, Ohio passed away at his residence Tuesday, September 20, 2011.
He was born in Marion on April 3, 1950 to Alvin and Betty (Thomas) Holcomb.
On May 28, 1982, he married Linda D. (Grate) Holcomb.
He was employed as a machinist at and retired from the Ryder Heil Bronze Company in Bucyrus, Ohio. He especially liked spending time at turkey shoots on Sundays, and he loved riding his Harley with his father-in-law.
Danny is survived by his wife, Linda; three daughters, Shannon Freeman, Sherry (Aaron) Conley , and Amanda Holcomb, all of Marion; a son, Kyle A. Holcomb; sisters, Brenda Park of Marion, and Rita (Bob) Vance of LaRue, Ohio; five grandchildren, Dustin and Brandon Freeman, and Tanna, Mitchell, and Erin Conley; a special granddaughter, MacKenzie Gregory; and a great granddaughter, Aaliyah Freeman. He was preceded in death by both his parents, and his son, Derrick Holcomb.
Calling hours for Mr. Holcomb are scheduled for Friday, September 23, 2011 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Holt will officiate the funeral service on Saturday September 24, 2011 at 11:00AM also at the funeral home, with internment to follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
