Cecil D. Borders age 76 of Marion, Ohio went to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, October 1, 2011 at his residence.
He was born April 6, 1935 in Cyrus, KY., to the late Sammie and Jessie (Williams) Borders.
On November 22, 1973 he married Mary K. (Simpkins).
Cecil was employed at Clark Metal Products for 35 years as a die setter, was a member of White Oaks Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Borders of Marion, OH., two daughters, Pat (Lee) Hall of Caledonia, OH., Janet (David) Charles of Toledo, OH., two step sons, Vincent (Dutches) Beckel of Marion, OH., Justin Beckel of Arlington, TX., 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, two brothers, Eddie Borders of Columbus, OH., Coy (Judy) Borders of Caledonia, OH., two sisters, Rhoda "Sis" Prater of Marion, OH., Lorene (Ronnie) Ratliff of Prospect, OH., and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Borders, two sisters, Alene Hunley and Christian Conley and two nieces.
Funeral Services for Cecil will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2011 @ 10 AM at White Oaks Road Freewill Baptist Church, 1859 White Oaks Rd. with Pastor Grover Caudill officiating. Burial will follow at Caledonia Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 5 – 8 PM at White Oaks Road Freewill Baptist Church. The Boyd-Born Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Marion General Hospice or to White Oaks Road Freewill Baptist Church.
