City Canine Officers Win Awards At Field Trials

Patrolmen Norm Ratterman and Matt Creps both brought back honors from the 2010 United States Police Canine Association Narcotic Field Trials in Montgomery County, Ohio.

There are two phases to the trials, including an indoor narcotics search and an outdoor vehicle search.

Patrolman Ratterman and partner Silver Bullit had a perfect score in the vehicle search and tied for 1st in that event. He placed 2nd overall.

Patrolman Creps and partner Bosco finished 4th overall. Bosco was purchased last year by the Marion City Police Department with donations from the public.

Both officers received trophies and regional certification for their efforts.
