The Marion County Democratic Party held their re-organizational meeting after the primary elections and elected officers to a two year term.
Mike Thomas was elected Chairman of the Marion County Democratic Party. Mike Thomas has been a City of Marion council member since 1995. His vision for the party includes increasing democratic participation through voter registration and increasing voter turnout for elections.
Kelly Carr was elected Vice-Chair of the Marion County Democratic Party. Kelly Carr has been the City of Marion Auditor since 2008, an office she was re-elected to by Marion City voters in 2011.
Jan Draper was elected Treasurer of the Marion County Democratic Party. Jan Draper is the current Treasurer for Marion County, an office she won in 2008 and is currently seeking a second term in the upcoming general election.
Katara Zachmann was elected Secretary of the Marion County Democratic Party. Katara Zachmann is a Marion County Coordinator for the Ohio Democratic Party’s Campaign for Ohio and Friends of Sherrod Brown.
