The Marion County Commissioners on Thursday accepted excess funds from Wood County Department of Job and Family Services, renewed a contract for transportation services with two local companies, and heard a reminder about dog licensing.
Wood County JFS had found themselves with excess IM Control funds. Ohio law allows for these funds to be transferred to other JFS offices, so Wood County agreed to provide $30,000 to Marion County Job and Family Services.
The Commissioners approved the renewal of agreements between Marion County JFS and On-Site ATS and Jazzy Cab for non-emergency transportation services. The one-year contracts will run through June 30, 2013. The agreements provide for reimbursements for transporting low-income individuals to medical appointments.
The Marion County Auditor’s Office told the Commissioner that they will be selling dog tags at the Marion County Fair. Prices will be $8 for puppies three months or younger. Any dogs over three months will be $16. Anyone who has not properly licensed their dogs could receive fines or penalties.
