The director of the City of Marion’s Lincoln Park Family Aquatic Center says the recent AquaGym was so fun that they’ve decided to offer it one more time this summer. AquaGym is an underwater adventure using scuba gear for ages 8 and up.
Aquatics Director Jeannie Brewer encourages people to register for the AquaGym program quickly as spots are limited to 10 participants. The program is Wednesday, August 29, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The cost is $40.00 per participant.
Instructor Dave Smith is a certified dive instructor who will lead participants through an obstacle course, underwater basketball, play, and the use of Scuba Scooters. This is not a certification for scuba diving.
“This is a great opportunity for adventurous young people to experience the things kids love to do, but do it underwater,” stated Brewer. “I was able to participate the last time and it was awesome. I felt so much like a kid. I could not stop laughing.”
