Flaudean Schlairet, 92, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at Marion General Hospital.

Flaudean was born November 22, 1918 to Squire and May Fishburn in Mt Vernon, Ohio.

Ida L. (Dimples) Bracy, age 70, departed this life on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Mt. Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, Ohio following an extended illness.

Born Ida Lee Wright on June 11, 1941 in Greenwood, Mississippi to the late Nellie E. Wade and John Cleveland (JC) Wright Sr., Ida was given the nickname of Dimples (Dimp) because of the deep dimples she would display each time she smiled.

“Trying to save one life at a time, and trying to accept those that couldn’t be saved,” is what Peggy Kimberling dedicated her life to.  For over 25 years, she felt called to serve as an emergency medical technician for the Morrow County Squad, where “she touched hundreds, if not thousands of lives.”

Peggy Kimberling, of Mount Gilead, passed away early on Friday morning, September 23, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her loving family following a courageous five year battle with cancer.

Nora Mattix, age 90, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011 at the Sterling House of Marion.

Nora was born on May 23, 1921 to Dillie Lovejoy and Minnie (Hickox) Johns in Brantley County, Georgia.

Danny A. Holcomb age 61 and a lifetime resident of Marion, Ohio passed away at his residence Tuesday, September 20, 2011.

He was born in Marion on April 3, 1950 to Alvin and Betty (Thomas) Holcomb.

On May 28, 1982, he married Linda D. (Grate) Holcomb.

Esther M. Cook, age 85, of LaRue, died Wednesday September 21, 2011 at 2:36 AM at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born April 18, 1926 in Marion, Ohio to the late Carl and Fannie(Gruber) Markley.

Kevin E. Cheney age 39 of Milford Center, formerly of Richwood died Wednesday morning, September 21, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family following a courageous 20-month battle with leukemia.

He was born April 1, 1972 in Marion to Robert L. and Melva (Patchet) Cheney, who both survive in Richwood.

Harold E. Gilbert of Marion passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Community Health Care Center.  He was 66 years old.

He was born December 13, 1944 to Glen Oscar Gilbert and Elizabeth Carol (Inskeep) Young.

Mary Jane George, age 90, a lifelong resident of Mount Gilead, died peacefully, Monday evening, September 19, 2011, at the Morrow County Hospital following an extended illness.

On May 17, 1921, Mary Jane was born in Mount Gilead, the daughter of the late Charles and Ida (Lee) O’Shaughnessy.  She graduated from Mount Gilead High School in the Class of 1939.

Loraine Lewis, age 86 of Marengo passed away Monday, September 19, 2011 at Country View of Sunbury.

She was born on October 26, 1924 in Nutter Fort, W.V. to the late Roscoe and Clara (Messenger) Russell.
