Hazel Mae Shuey, age 86 of the Caledonia area passed away Sunday morning July 10th at home.

She was born in Morrow County on June 18th, 1925 as the daughter of Harley and Mae (Rogers) Shuey.

Virgil N. “Bud” Peterman, age 76 of Caledonia, passed away Saturday evening July 9th, 2011 in Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Bud was born July 18, 1934 in LaRue, Ohio the son of the late Guy and Myrtle (Dutton) Peterson.

Erdine L. Grose age 83 of Richwood, died early Sunday Morning July 10, 2011 at Heartland of Marysville.

She was born February 5, 1928 in Mt. Victory to the late Percy and Celesta (Pinney) Brown, she was also predeceased by 3 brothers and 1 grandson Bryan Williams.

Marilyn “Anne” (Gifford) Brown, of Morral, passed away on Saturday morning, July 9, 2011, at her home surrounded by her loving family following a brief two week illness.  She was 82 years old.

On March 18, 1929, Anne was born in Marion, Ohio, the daughter of the late C.E. “Pat” and Elizabeth (Lister) Gifford.

Bernard H. Luers, Jr., age 85, of Marion, died Friday, July 8, 2011, at 2:05 pm following a brief ill health.

He was born February 17, 1926, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Bernard H. and Eleanor (Sicking) Luers.  On November 7, 1953, he married Helen L. (Bludau) in Cincinnati, who survives.

LTC Duane A. Slack,USA, Ret., age 71 of Westerville and formerly of Sparta passed away Thursday,  July 7, 2011 at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.

He was born on November 27, 1939 in Sparta to the late Fern A. and Norine (Hulse) Slack.

Carolyn Carolyn E. (Smith) Bryant, age 72, passed away July 7, 2011 after her courageous battle with long term cancer.

Carolyn was born in Marion County to Harold E. Smith and Rozella (Morton) Smith. She married Larry G. Bryant on June 22, 1957. He passed away in 2006. They were married for 48 years.

Theodore Wesley “Ted” Britenstine, age 74 of Richwood died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at his home.

He was born September 28, 1936 in LaRue to the late Andrew Franklin and Helen Lenore (Smith) Britenstine.

David Michael Zier, age 32 of Marion, Ohio sadly passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at his home.

He was born January 28, 1979 in Marion, Ohio to Melinda Schuster and Dennis Gorenflo.

Carson Matthew Cline, son of Robert and Noelle (Lyon) Cline of 150 Martin Dr. Marion, was stillborn on Saturday, July 2, 2011 in Hillcrest Hospital, Cleveland.

Matthew was preceded in death by his brother Robert Nathaniel Cline in 2009.
