Katrina Sue Preece, age 45 of Ashley was called home to be with her Lord Sunday morning, April 25, 2010 at Delaware Court.

She was born on November 1, 1964 in Columbus and was a graduate of Big Walnut High School in 1983. She had worked in the food service industry.

A member of Berachah Baptist Church, she enjoyed studying her Bible, reading and crafts of all types. She treasured her independence. Always the encourager, she was both humble and positive in nature.  She touched many lives in spite of her years of illness, always giving glory to God.

Elwood W. Augenstein Sr., 67, Pennsylvania and formerly of Marion area, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at his home.

He was a former employee of Delta Gulf Co. Local 158 of Harrisburg, PA, a lifetime member of the Labor's Union Local 457 of Marion, Ohio and a member of the VFW Post 255 of Duncannon, PA.

Kendrick A. Collins, Sr. passed away at his residence Friday afternoon, April 23, 2010 at the age of 77.

He was born June 5, 1932 to the late Nelson and Mary (Parker) Collins in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. On August 31, 1957 in Marion Kendrick married Genevieve Joy Middleton who survives in Marion.

Kendrick was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Whirlpool as an assembler. He was a member of the Masons, White Sulfur Lodge in Delaware, Ohio; and the Shriners in Columbus, Ohio.

Lawrence D. Davis age 66 of Marion, Ohio passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010 at his residence.

He was born July 13, 2010 in Paintsville, Ky. to the late Lawrence and Beulah (Meade) Davis.
Lawrence was retired from the Whirlpool Corp. for over 30 years in the repair bay.

He is survived by his ex wife, June Davis Takaki of Marion,OH., a son, Kevin D. Davis of Galion, OH., a daughter, Kristy Davis Shipley of Marion, OH., a brother, Doug McDaniel of Marion, OH., and two grandchildren, Audrey E. Davis and Parker C. Davis.

Elva Gilliam, of Marion, Ohio, passed away Saturday evening, April 24, 2010, at Riverside Methodist Hospital at the age of 89.

She was born June 10, 1920 in Pikeville, Kentucky. She was also married in Pikeville to James E. Gilliam on August 29, 1941.

Elva was a member of Family of Love Old Regular Baptist Church.

Josephine Thompson, 76, of Marion passed away at Marion General Hospital Wednesday, April 21, 2010.

She was born in Lawrence County, Alabama on May 28, 1933 to the late Jack and Willie Lucille (Smith) Robinson.

Josephine retired from the State of New York as a supervisor with the MRDD program. At the time of her passing she was the owner director of Thompsons Home Facility in Marion. She was a member of Mt. Zion Church.

George H. Fisher Sr., age 76 of Marengo died Friday, April 23, 2010 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born on November 28, 1933 in Columbus to the late George H. and Imogene (Smith) Fisher.  A lifelong painter, he had been a resident of Marengo for the past 48 years.

An outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. George collected post cards and old toy trucks. Kind hearted and generous, he was always helpful. Family was most important and he always had a grandchild underfoot.

Clara B. Sharp, 76, of Marion passed away Saturday morning, April 24, 2010 at Heartland of Marion.

She was born January 13, 1934 to the late Harley and Clara Anna (Penwell) Potts in Marion. Clara married Forrest Sharp, Jr. on October 28, 1951 in Marion. Forrest passed away in 1989.

Clara was a member of Calvary Bible Baptist Church.

She is survived by 2 sons, David (Tammy) Sharp of Caledonia, and Daniel (Trudy) Sharp of Marion; her daughter, Barbara Shelton of Tennessee; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth M. Forbes age 93 of Marion, Ohio formerly of Illinois, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010 at her residence.

Mary Claire Buyer. age 69, of LaRue, died Thursday April 22, 2010 at 2:00 PM at her residence.  She was born  November 1, 1940 in Reading, Ohio to the late John P. and Nellie (Burton) Daly.  On July 13, 1963 she married Paul Ervin Buyer and he survives.
