Laura “Jane” Gilbert, 85, of Marion

Laura “Jane” Gilbert died peacefully on April 14, 2010 at Community Healthcare Center, where she had made her home since November.

Born July 29, 1924 to Herbert and Nita Wolfe, Jane had lived in Marion and was a graduate of Harding High School.

A bookkeeper, her employment included Gilbert Printing, Home Federal Savings & Loan, and McDaniel Motor. After her retirement, Jane volunteered at Mark Street and Fairpark schools and worked in the office at Goodwill.

Beverly Sue (Hall) Schriml, age 58, of Waldo

Beverly Sue (Hall) Schriml age 58 of Waldo died Monday morning April 12, 2010 surrounded by her devoted family at the home of her son Joseph near Cardington.

James “Jim” J. Simpkins, 84, of Reynoldsburg and formerly of Marion

James "Jim" J. Simpkins, 84, of Reynoldsburg and formerly of Marion, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at his residence.

He was born on May 13, 1925 to the late John J. and Minnie May (Gates) Simpkins here in Marion.

Jim worked many years for the City of Marion in Water Pollution Control retiring in 1968.

Vivian Lee (McEntire) Swartz, age 68, of Marion

Vivian Lee (McEntire) Swartz age 68 of Marion passed away at her residence Sunday, April 11, 2010.

Born September 8, 1941 in Marion to the late Rollie Eugene and Mabel (Shultz) Manley McEntire.

She was married July 13, 1968 to Donald Eugene Swartz who preceded her in death October 6, 2000.

Nancy Anne Stitak. 49, of Marion

Nancy Anne Stitak passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Kobacker House, Home Reach Hospice in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born in Long Beach, California on November 17, 1960.

Nancy was married to Brian Stitak on June 10, 1995 in Mansfield, Ohio.

Anna L. Taylor age 81 of Marion

Anna L. Taylor age 81 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Saturday April 10, 2010 at Marion General Hospital.

She was born May 27, 1928 in Greenup, Ky. to the late Elwood and Grace(Chaffin) Winters.

On October 21, 1946 in Greenup, Ky., she married Warren G. Taylor and he preceded her in death in January of 1991 in Marion, Ohio.

Her faith background was Baptist.

Anna was the worlds greatest wife, mother, grandmother and caregiver. She was a homemaker and she truly loved her whole family.

Rita K. Loyer, age 80, of Marion, died Saturday afternoon, April 10, 2010, at Heartland of Marion, following a three month illness.

Alta “Sue” Marie Rhoades, 99

Alta “Sue” Marie Rhoades passed away Saturday morning, April 10, 2010 at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan at the age of 99.

She was born August 17, 1910 in Sabina, Ohio, the beloved daughter of the late Cleve and Rachel (Sanderson) Rhoades.

Sue was a member of First Baptist Church of Troy since 1953.

Bernice Marie Huntsman, age 91, of Marion

Bernice Marie Huntsman, age 91, of Marion, died early Saturday morning, April 10, 2010, at her residence following a short illness.

She was born in Marion County on March 5, 1919, the daughter of the late Edward and Gladys (Augestine) Pfirsch.

She graduated from Pleasant High School in 1938, along with 16 other classmates.

Mildred J. Vaughn age 73 of Caledonia

Mildred J. Vaughn age 73 of Caledonia passed away Friday evening April 9th, 2010 in Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus after a short illness.

She was born Sept. 04h1936 in Marion County, the daughter of the late Ralph & Lucile (Rinker) Roesch. On August 05 1955 she married Barry Vaughn. He survives her at home.
