Learning to Talk the Talk: Empowering Parents in a Wild Child World is the theme for the 25th Annual Wild Child Conference being held September 9th, 2014 at TRECA (100 Executive Drive; Marion, Ohio). This year’s regional conference for social workers, educators, juvenile justice and health care professionals will focus on strengthening the parent-child relationship.
Session topics will include TEN Best Practices to Be Involved in Your Child’s Life, Verbal Judo, What Can we Do to Help Children Behave? Alternatives to Corporal Punishment, and Components of a Successful IEP Meeting. The day will close with Dr. Reyes sharing PARENTS Can Find a New Future.
Early registration to attend this one-day conference is $70 and must be faxed, emailed, post-marked or telephoned by August 22. Regular registration is $80 after August 22 and by September 8. Same day registration is $90. This fee includes a continental breakfast, snacks and all conference materials, as well as continuing education units for social workers, counselors, educators and nurses.
